Hi, I’m Deitra Baker, a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner.
When I became a therapist, I never expected to serve in such a challenging yet fulfilling space.
A year ago, I noticed a problem: balancing the demands of the entertainment industry with personal well-being was tough for everyone—parents, children, set teachers, production staff, and even my own family. Mental and emotional health directly affected how we all showed up to work.
Instead of pointing fingers, I felt called to support children and families in the entertainment industry. I began researching and learning everything I could about this unique environment and its impact on child actors and their families.
Today, I’m here to help parents of child actors navigate the industry confidently and supportively. I aim to empower parents with tools to encourage their young actors, using methods I’ve used both personally and professionally for over a decade.
